Mark your calendar: It’s almost time for the Park City Pickleball Club’s annual membership meeting. All members will receive a Zoom invitation for the event, which is planned for Monday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m.

This annual meeting is mandated in the club bylaws. The meeting agenda, designed to highlight our 2020 goals and accomplishments, is as follows:

• Review of 2020
• Club status update
• Elections of president and secretary
• Club membership system
• Winter play update
• Planning for 2021

The elections are according to our bylaws, which stipulate that two board positions are up for election each year. This year it will be president and secretary, and next year it will be vice president and treasurer. They are all two-year terms, although the first slate of board members has served only one year at this point. Both Doris and I are willing to serve another term, but nominations for other people to serve in these capacities will be accepted and a vote will be taken at the meeting.

I hope you are able to join us for this meeting. Be sure to have your favorite beverage on hand, and be ready to provide feedback. Here’s to wishing for a different meeting in 2021 – perhaps with a hall, a full bar, music, dancing, maybe pickleball, and life back to normal! Hope to see all of you on Zoom!
